Eaton
began as one of several agricultural hubs on the mid-eastern
Colorado plains. Irrigated fields of hay, corn, sugar
beets, and onions are broken up only by homesteads
and pastures of beef and dairy cattle, horses, and
a few odd buffalo and llamas.
Although
a rural community, residents of Eaton have easy access
north to Cheyenne, Wyoming, or south to Denver and
the Denver International Airport.
